Music for me =)

The music is really everything for me. I like all kinds of music for the simple fact of being music. Therefore it’s very difficult to me decide what is my favorite music, artistic, group, etc. My tastes vary in to hear one day hip hop music, rock next day, later pop music. In the end, depends of my mood, the place where I am, whatever I want to do, among other factors. The most important for me is that sounds good.

However, when I was a child my favorite artist was Shakira, I had all his records. My favorite album was “Pies descalzos”, and my favorite song was “Se quiere se mata”.

Now my favorite group is Faith no more, because I like this the kind of music and I love the voice of Mike Patton. I think that he is the best male singer. He can use his voice to multiple ways. I went to the concert of last year that did Faith no more last year and it was really amazing. I yet get excited when I listen the recording of concert in Chile.
Faith no more was formed in 1982 and it is a mixture of funk, rap, punk, metal, etc. Maybe that’s way I like so much: by diversity.

Jacob Levy Moreno.

Jacob Levy Moreno is the person that I admire the most in psychology. He was born in Bucharest, Romania on May 18, 1889 and died on May 14, 1974. He was an important psychiatrist, psychologist and educator that founded psychodrama and sociometry. Also he was the foremost pioneer of the group psychotherapy.

He had a conception holistic of the human being, this is, thinks the human being as everything as for the cognition, the emotion and the physical. Moreno spoke too that the spontaneity and creativity are the propelling forces in human progress. In this sense he was very important in humanistic psychology.

In the practice, the psychodrama is a group therapy that defines its method across the coordination of groups by means of the action, working with and for the groups as a whole with these.

I like him because I share with the conception that he had of the human being, the importance that have the others in us and that he considered the progress human more than the negative aspects of the human being has. Also, I like the technique of psychodrama. =)

My favorite hobbies

Actually I have enough hobbies, because there are many things I enjoy doing. I like playing the guitar, singing, going dancing, visiting my friends, watching movies, sleeping, seeing the stars, swimming, listening to music, etc.

But, singing is the hobby that I like the most. Since I was a child I have always sung. Even, when I was 8 years old I did a show where I had to dress up of different singers, for example, Shakira and Shania Twain. Also I went to the TV, to the program el Club de amigos de la red. But now I wouldn’t do this!

My second favorite Hobby is seeing the stars. Also, since I was a child I really enjoy it. Before of I want to study psychology, I wanted to study astronomy, but my destination was another.

My experience with respect of earthquake

Hi, how have you been?... Me? Still I have a cold
The day of earthquake I was not in my house, I was in the house of a friend that he was of birthday. We were dancing when it began. At first I did not frighten, but after I scared a lot, because a friend began to shout. She desperate called to her mom and brother, while I trying to calm her.
Later she took her car to go home and I went with her. In her house the situation was worse, because not only my friend shouted, her mother and brother, too. I was to try of reassure them with each aftershock. I could arrive at my home at 9 o’clock.
Post-earthquake, I collected food house by house in the commune of San Miguel, and later I join of group Psiconstrucción, that search to help people affected by the earthquake, in this group I have learned a lot about of the psychology of the emergency.

The beginning

Hi, my name is Stephanie Parada. I was born on April 12th, 1988. I´m Chilean and I study psychology at Universidad de Chile, this is my four years, I love my study.
I’m youngest sister of four brethren, and now I live alone with my parents. My great passion is sing, I love it.
On this respect of the English, I know very few and it more difficult for me is the listening. Therefore I hope to learn with you.
